In 1991 the adjacent Seventh Street professional building became part of Porters, bringing the floor space to more than 80,000 square feet. In 1992, another old building was purchased and demolished to create a much-needed parking lot for Porters¹ customers. Today, the 150-year-old company continues under the direction of H.R. Waters who is assisted by the next generation in Porters¹ long history, Micah K. Waters. As the store continues to thrive, the partnership between Racine, Wisconsin and Porters of Racine will continue. And Porters¹ commitment to offering the finest in furniture and interior design remains its mission.
