Originally developed as the “Porters House of Ideas” in the late 1940s, Porters pioneered the concept of displaying full room settings in the store. Through the years, that concept evolved into the Guild Galleries, with an entire floor of rooms completely redone from top to bottom on an annual basis. These yearly openings attracted long lines of customers eager to see the latest in home fashions. Today, Porters’ Guild Galleries continue to offer the very best in fine furnishings.
